Website Builder
The Website Builder creates complete multi-page websites with a drag-and-drop editor that requires no code. Unlike funnels built for linear conversion paths, websites provide open navigation, multiple pages, and diverse content sections. Forms, chat widgets, calendars, and order forms connect directly to your CRM and automations without external plugins.
What Website Builder Does
Build business homepages, service sites, portfolios, and e-commerce stores with full control over layout, branding, and content. The editor uses a four-level hierarchy: sections contain rows, rows contain columns, and columns contain elements (headlines, images, buttons, forms, videos). Global sections let you create headers and footers that update across every page when you edit once.
Start from a blank canvas or import a template. AI-powered generation creates complete sites tailored to your industry. Every page includes SEO metadata, mobile responsiveness, and tracking code support. The e-commerce store feature (exclusive to websites, not available in funnels) lets you sell products with order forms and Stripe integration.
Version history saves every published change, so you can restore previous designs if needed. Built-in analytics track page views, opt-ins, and revenue.
Key Configuration Options
Create a website: Navigate to Sites > Websites, click New Website, and choose From Templates (browse pre-designed layouts), From Blank (empty canvas), or AI Generation (describe your business and let AI build the site).
Add pages: From the site dashboard, click Add New Page, name it (About, Services, Contact), and choose a template or start blank. The first page you create becomes the home page by default.
Connect a custom domain: Go to Sites > Websites > Site Details > Settings, click Connect Domain, enter your domain, add the A record or CNAME at your registrar, and click Verify Records. SSL provisions automatically.
Create global sections: Build a navigation menu or footer, hover over the section, click Save, name it, check Global Section, and save. Add it to other pages via + Add Element > Global Section. Edits to one instance update everywhere.
Configure SEO per page: Click the SEO icon in the editor to set page title (under 60 characters), meta description (150-160 characters), URL path, Open Graph image, and favicon.
Enable e-commerce: Create products in Payments > Products, attach them to a page via the three-dot menu, add an Order Form element in the editor, and connect Stripe for payment processing. E-commerce is exclusive to websites (not available in funnels).
Power Features
Version history: Click Versions in the top-right corner to view and restore previous published versions. Rollback design changes or recover deleted content in seconds.
Mobile-specific layouts: Duplicate a section, set one to Desktop Only and the other to Mobile Only in the Advanced visibility settings. Customize each independently for optimal responsiveness.
Tracking code injection: Add Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, or Google Tag Manager scripts site-wide (Settings > Head Tracking Code) or per-page (Tracking Code panel in editor). Supports header and body injection.
Blog integration: Display blog post listings on any page using the Blog Post List element. Link to individual posts from navigation menus or content sections.
Site-wide chat widget: Enable the chat widget in Settings > Chat Widget to deploy it across all pages, or embed widget code on specific pages for targeted messaging.
Pro Tips
- Plan your site structure before building. Map out pages, sections, and calls to action in a table to avoid scope creep.
- Use global sections for headers, footers, and CTAs that appear on every page. Edit once, update everywhere.
- Compress images before uploading. Large files slow load times and increase bounce rates. Keep Image Optimization enabled in settings.
- Configure SEO metadata on every page. Page titles, meta descriptions, and Open Graph settings directly affect search rankings and social shares.
- Test on actual mobile devices before publishing. The mobile preview in the editor is useful, but real devices reveal touch target and readability issues.
Common Questions
What is the difference between websites and funnels?
Websites are multi-page structures with navigation menus designed for general online presence (homepages, service sites, stores). Funnels are linear, goal-oriented sequences focused on one conversion per page. Websites support e-commerce stores. Funnels support A/B split testing.
Can I edit desktop and mobile versions separately?
Yes. Toggle to Mobile Mode in the editor. Some settings have responsive toggles for independent desktop and mobile values. For major layout differences, duplicate sections and use visibility controls to show one version on desktop and another on mobile.
How do I add a navigation menu?
Add a full-width section at the top of your page, insert a row with the Navigation Menu element, configure links and logo in the right panel, and save it as a global section to reuse across all pages.
What happens if I save but do not publish?
Your changes are stored as a draft. The live site remains unchanged until you click Publish. This lets you work on updates without affecting visitor experience.
Can I restore a previous version?
Yes. Click Versions in the top-right corner, select a previous published version, and restore it. The builder saves every publish action automatically.
