AI Employee

AI & Advanced Advanced Updated Mar 7, 2026

The umbrella AI suite that bundles Voice AI, Conversation AI, Reviews AI, Content AI, and Funnel AI with token-based or unlimited pricing and agency reselling capabilities.

AI Employee

AI Employee is not a single feature. It’s the umbrella suite that bundles Voice AI, Conversation AI, Reviews AI, Content AI, and Funnel AI into one offering. Agencies enable AI Employee at the agency level, then grant or limit access per sub-account. Pricing is token-based per usage or $97/month unlimited per sub-account. This is the commercial layer that lets agencies monetize AI capabilities for their clients.

What AI Employee Includes

Voice AI. AI-powered phone agents that handle inbound and outbound calls. Natural conversation, call routing, lead qualification, appointment booking, and workflow triggers. Deploys to LC Phone or Twilio numbers and through the Voice AI Chat Widget.

Conversation AI. Text-based AI that handles SMS, web chat, Facebook Messenger, Instagram DM, and Google Business Chat conversations. Qualifies leads, answers questions, books appointments, and triggers workflows. Works autonomously or in suggestive mode (drafts responses for human approval).

Reviews AI. Automated review response system for Google and Facebook reviews. Configurable tone, sentiment detection, theme extraction. Responds to positive and negative reviews with contextually appropriate messages. See the full Reviews AI guide.

Content AI. AI-powered content generation for emails, SMS, social posts, blog content, and funnel copy. Generates, rewrites, and optimizes marketing content within the platform’s native editors.

Funnel AI. AI-assisted funnel and website building. Generates page layouts, copy, and design suggestions based on business type and goals. Accelerates the funnel creation process inside the Funnel Builder.

Pricing Model

Two pricing options exist:

Token-based. Pay per usage across all AI features. Each AI interaction (voice minute, chat message, review response, content generation) consumes tokens. Agencies purchase tokens at the agency level and allocate them across sub-accounts. This works well for low-volume sub-accounts or when testing AI features before committing to unlimited.

Unlimited plan. $97/month per sub-account for unlimited usage of all AI Employee features. No token tracking, no usage limits. This is the better option for active sub-accounts where AI handles significant conversation volume. For agencies managing the economics, the unlimited plan creates predictable costs.

Enabling AI Employee

Enable at the agency level: Agency View > Settings > Company > AI Employee toggle. This unlocks AI capabilities across all sub-accounts. You then control access per sub-account, choosing which AI features each client can use.

Granting access doesn’t mean every sub-account automatically uses all features. You configure which AI tools are active in each sub-account based on the client’s plan, needs, and your service offering.

Reselling AI to Clients

This is where AI Employee becomes a revenue center. Agencies can mark up AI capabilities and rebill them to clients. Set custom pricing per feature or bundle them into service tiers. A client paying you $297/month for “AI-powered lead response” doesn’t need to know the underlying cost is $97/month for the unlimited plan.

Configure rebilling through SaaS Mode for automated billing, or handle it through your existing invoicing process. The margin between your cost and the client’s price is pure profit on a feature that runs autonomously.

The Economics

For agencies, AI Employee changes the service model. Features that previously required human labor (responding to reviews, answering after-hours calls, qualifying leads via chat) now run automatically. This means:

  • Lower fulfillment costs per client
  • Higher margins on AI-powered service tiers
  • Ability to serve more clients without adding staff
  • Recurring revenue from AI features that clients depend on

The $97/month unlimited plan per sub-account is the baseline cost. What you charge clients for access to these capabilities is your pricing decision.

Pro Tips

  • Start with one AI feature per client. Conversation AI for lead response is the easiest win. Add Voice AI and Reviews AI once the client sees value from the first feature.
  • Use token-based pricing during onboarding to keep costs low while testing. Switch to unlimited once the client is active and volume justifies the flat rate.
  • Build AI capabilities into your service tiers rather than selling them as add-ons. “AI-powered” as a plan feature is more compelling than “add Conversation AI for $X/month.”
  • Track AI performance metrics (response time, qualification rate, review response rate) and include them in monthly client reports. Visible results justify the ongoing cost.

Common Questions

Is AI Employee a separate product?

No. AI Employee is a suite of AI features within GHL. It bundles Voice AI, Conversation AI, Reviews AI, Content AI, and Funnel AI under one umbrella with unified pricing and access controls.

Do all sub-accounts need the unlimited plan?

No. Use token-based pricing for low-volume sub-accounts and the unlimited plan for high-volume ones. You can mix pricing models across your portfolio.

Can clients access AI Employee settings themselves?

You control what clients see through sub-account permissions. You can give clients full access to configure their own AI agents, or lock it down so only your team manages AI settings.

What happens if I disable AI Employee for a sub-account?

All AI features stop working for that sub-account. Active conversations handled by Conversation AI revert to manual handling. Voice AI agents stop answering calls. Reviews AI stops generating responses. Re-enabling restores all configurations.

How does AI Employee relate to Agent Studio?

Agent Studio is the builder where you create custom AI agents. AI Employee is the commercial suite that deploys and monetizes those agents. You build in Agent Studio, you sell through AI Employee.
